EDIT: Fixed up her tattoo on her head, added highlights to her eye lashes and my signature which I always forget to leave out.

A drawing of :iconzinoodle: 's OC Lucia. A prize for winning first place in my Minerva Competition. I tried to still keep that cartoony style in the drawing as I felt making her look ultra realistic would ruin the character design ;P


lol, no more updating. Suzuka has to go and study for her exams. Oh and start CRITIQUING people! No one has critiqued my work yet *cries* I don't bite that hard ;P

... about copic and traditional drawings - I currently can't do them now because of my thumb (for those that don't know I cut my left thumb open recently ;P ) ... So no paints for Renae, only digital drawings *goes off to sulk*

This took roughly 2 hours from sketching to colouring to finish :)

This is the first time writing a crit... (woop woop)

Anyway, I love the face, the detail within the face is amazing. The colouring of the eyes are perfect,,, seem like gold (i can never get that colour right.
You really do give a lot of attention to the details (such as each individual eye lashes)


The Only two things that would make the picture better for me, if you carried on the level of detail to the rest of the picture. (the face seem hard details) the rest seems so soft compared to the face.
Eg the hair... Would be great if was a little more depth, such as darker shadowing.
Also the right eye is a little cross eyed.

I like how the lip turns up a little, a nice lazy smile.

You know i love your work always.

Poor Renae! :hug: Evil knife!! *takes out bazooka and blasts blade to smithereens*

This is indeed a lovely piece of artwork hun! I can never get over how you do your hair. It looks very fluffy and realistic. The one thing that seems a bit floaty is the forehead pattern. Otherwise though lovely work :D

As for the critiquing system, I loathe to use it...I hate using those rating stars and such.
